Way back in 1995-1997, I had a couple of personal experiences of meeting wealthy landowners in some suburban and rural areas. The objective was mainly to lease or acquire sites for the erection of cell towers and installation of cell sites for our wireless local loops in the rural vicinities. It was a tough assignment with my team at times getting screwed up and exhausted at the end of the negotiation process. We did in-house trainings on how to achieve successful site acquisitions but we always believed that hiring legal professionals or outsourcing the task to the experts would produce better results. And so the company did!
