One more night’s sleep and I’m home! No, not really home. Sis wanted me to drop by her map.jpgplace before heading home. Cebu City is a nice place that is strategically located in the central part of the Philippines with lots of historical remains of the Spanish civilization. The famous oldest Sto. Nino Basilica (Catholic Church built and made of stones) still stands a living legend of our Spanish past. Don’t forget that Ferdinand Magellan had been to the Philippines, too, where he got his landmark in the city called The Magellan’s Cross. There are a lot more like the Fort Santiago, the Pit Senyor (Sr. Sto. Nino) Festival every January, and many other beautiful things of the historical past.

I love Cebu City for the fact that I had worked there for years before migrating to Thailand. It is also where I took and passed the national board examinations for electrical engineers and made history at the same time. Beautiful things also happened to me in Cebu City — it is where I met my current and past loves — and where we all had been for some important reasons in our lives for some time.

Same is true with my sis. She took and passed the national board examinations for nurses and currently works there, too. I’ve never been to her rented flat/room before, so, to make life easy, she drew me a map to her flat online while chatting on Yahoo Messenger. She’s still artistic to me, yet, I have a complete doubt if I and the taxi driver would ever find the place easily just by looking at the drawing. Let’s see and prove her a really good artist if my sis-hunting spree turns to be a success! Good luck!
