I purchased 20 music dvd’s of some famous artists like Santana, Bon Jovi, Air
Supply, Elton John, and many more, to add to my collections of music videos, movies and grand slam tennis matches. Testing them with my own dvd player at home, I found 5 non-working (defective?) ones. I wonder why the other 15 just worked fine but not the 5 when they did at the shop’s machine. My friend advised me to change my dvd player as the problem could be it — but why the 15 which are just the same kinds of dvd’s were okay? Ever wonder what an HDMI switch is? Firefold.com says that a 3×1 HDMI Switcher routes high definition video (in multiple resolutions up to 1080p) and digital audio from any 1 of the 3 sources to display unit — 3 inputs accommodate the simultaneous connection of up to 3 high definition video sources, such as satellite systems, HD DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, and PS3. I wonder if I would need this just to play my other 5 dvd’s but the sales clerk told me this may help solve the problem. The output sends the high definition audio/video signals to a high definition display while the switching is done via the IR remote that is provided with the unit or on the unit itself. Yeah, this sounds so hi-tech and I don’t understand it completely. Let me go back to www.firefold.com to read more about their products and to see whether I really need the HDMI switch or buy a new player instead.
