It has become common today for people to pretend themselves as someone else in order to gain advantage over the others. Protecting self or anyone’s personal identity is very crucial these days, and to dot that, one must get himself or herself a lifelock that would shield one’s personal and very confidential information from the illegal access by others. Just like that gossiper who pretended to be Angelina Jolie’s spokeswoman and told the media that Jolie had already delivered her twins, which was not true. Jolie’s spokesperson immediately confirmed that it was not her who informed the media and that the story was false.
But it’s an entirely different case when someone used a false identification to transact business or purchase valuable items. It’s pretty scary, isn’t it? What if we’re talking about millions of dollars of false transaction made by a fraudulent person? If it was you or your identity had been stolen and records falsified, what are you going to do? It’s beyond imagination. Lifelock is just as important as being overly cautious. Experian has actually picked a fight with Lifelock Company by alleging “credit laws do not provide for a third party to place fraud alerts on behalf of a consumer.” What the story tells me is that Experian is uneasy about LifeLock’s services that costs them money by placing fraud alerts for members as it costs them money to set alerts.
Well, my only concern now is the ability to protect myself ahead of the unwanted incident that could possibly happen. Better be safe now with lifelock than sorry…
