Feeling so bubbly on the final day, I went to watch the Thailand Open final match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and the much bigger Mr. Tsonga of France with overflowing excitement. Looking at them at the TV screens mounted everywhere outside the tennis venue, Impact Arena, didn’t quite satisfy me. Tickets for live sporting events especially the semi- and final matches are usually priced so dearly so resourcefulness is quite an option. I had my all-out support on that very day for the error-prone Djokovic and got disappointed to see him carry just the 2nd placer’s award. The blasting serves of Tsonga didn’t quite scare him off and put him off-balance but it’s his unforced errors that denied him the championship trophy. Anyways, I’ll look forward to seeing him again (hopefully Federer, Roddick, Blake, Safin, & Ljubicic again, too!) live here in Bangkok for the next ATP Tour, Thailand Open 2009.
