Powerful magnets saved me big bucks! I love late night shopping. It gives me the freedom to be myself — to enjoy the sight of assorted groceries and other fresh food products — without having to wait for long at the payment counter. Shopping after a long day’s work can be extremely costly, if not risky. I went shopping alone one night, and since it was already late, I rushed pushing my fully-loaded cart out to the car park. I didn’t realize I was pushing it too hard and fast that my cart bumped hard into another 3-5 empty carts that caused a huge rumbling sound all over the place and shocked practically everyone around. If it was not due to the magnets in the escalator or the moving walkway, my cart would’ve crashed against a huge, costly china ware sending it straight to the vending machine nearby. Just imagine the damage I could’ve caused and the cost of repairs or replacements! The key was that an external covering element attached in the base region of the escalator includes a substructure with a magnet disposed on the support element. The magnetized steel certainly helped stop all carts from moving any farther.
