There is no known cure for Cerebral Palsy (CP). CP, however, is a non-contagious disorder that causes physical disability in human development. A friend’s son is suffering from this non-progressive physical condition that’s caused by damage to the motor control centers of his developing brain. The child looks so helpless and it’s a pity that he will have it for life. Three types of CP that can affect babies at about 75% during pregnancy and about 15% after birth — spastic CP, being the most common, makes a kid unable to move his muscles or the muscles may be stiff; athetoid CP affects a child’s ability to control the muscles of the body making his legs or arms flutter and move suddenly; however, a kid with ataxic CP has problems with balance and coordination.
