Late to office, 11.02.08, 9:10 a.m., already feeling too sleepy at this early! My adorable niece and sisters in the Philippines, Thailand, and the U.S. again had our regular conference audio-video-text chatting session last night (morning or dawn! not sure how to say it). That’s one big problem you face when you and your loved ones live very far apart from each other. Just imagine the big time difference, the gap is just so odd that someone will have to suffer!
But despite all these, I still consider it a blessing and a valuable opportunity to still be able to keep in constant contact with my family, wherever we or they are at whatever time that is! Business is as usual for me still. Grabbed the daily paper before starting work. News on the Internet are just not enough. I need something printed on the paper for ease of reading.
The next big thing is checking all emails on Microsoft Outlook (1), Google’s Gmail (2), Yahoo! (2), and Hotmail (1). Then checking SMS or instant messages on Yahoo! Messenger, MSN, and Chikka. Then checking my Google Adsense and Smorty.com accounts, latest entries and updates on my ideasbeyondborders.com web site, my Friendster.com profile, and blog hopping if I still can manage my time. It really is a lengthy process though but it has just become a habit, it’s already in my system.
Once fully satisfied with this 30-min. introductory procedure, then full-force in my work starts and I start it by checking inward funds from my international corporate satellite accounts. The process is so tedious but fun. It’s like living a life in Neverland..hehe. You won’t realize that you have unconsciously ignored the pressure and stress by the passing of time. You won’t even know that you’re finished for the day due to serious engrossment in the job. Exaggeration maybe..but yeah, I survived!
